i am static oven.

since childhood, i've been drawn to the quiet friction between design and science, art and technology. my perspective has been shaped by a childhood that was both ordinary and subtly unconventional. i describe it as an environment that encouraged and gave room for quiet observation and nonlinear thinking.

now, my interests have evolved into something more immersive and intuitive. it is a convergence of disciplines that feels at times like a lucid dream. as i navigate adulthood, my work has taken on an archival quality, namely a gathering of fragments, forms, and systems that speak across boundaries.

though my professional background is rooted in science and medicine, i identify just as strongly as a designer and artist. my practice is informed by a sensitivity to multi-centered frameworks, relational dynamics, and the nuanced textures of interaction.

i was born and raised in southern california and earned my bachelor’s degree in biology from ucla. after graduating, i spent several formative years in baltimore, where much of my post-graduate work took place. i’m now based back in southern california, continuing to explore the intersections of science, design, and art.

i hope to grow this space into a digital garden, one that blossoms over time and eventually bears many fruits and friends. you're welcome to explore it, to linger, and to catch a glimpse into my mind.
